SHINCHA means ‘new tea’. SHINCHA is the tea made from the first harvest – the first flush, of the season. It is the same as Ichibancha, "first tea" and is distinguished by its fresh flavor and sweetness. SHINCHA Sencha often comes with special editions available in limited quantity.
SHINCHA Gyokuro shaded tea will be released in later summer as Gyokuro requires time to mature its taste.
The harvest begins in Kagoshima and continues north as the warmer weather spreads.
