Very Smooth matcha, we blind tasted the premium and special edition together. 1tsp around 84-85 degrees. This one is noticeable smoother and has a very nice aroma. It can be drunk without any milk or additives. The special had a more bitter and tannic taste. I'd add some milk into the special version but this one is great without it.
Is it worth a $10 difference? It really depends, if you plan on not using any milk then definitely. If you like your matcha mixed with more milk then the special would work just as well.
I have tried many different matcha's from few different stores. My favorite is Japanese Matcha from Chado Tea House. I have been drinking this tea every single morning for at least 5 years. I add a bit of oat milk to create a creamy taste. It is not only delicious but also packed with many health benefits. Strongly recommend.
