Asamushi is the traditional Japanese tea making method that lightly steamed, shorter steaming time of 20 to 60 seconds. Asamushi tea leaves shows large needle like leaf particles and clear liquor, light yellowy green appearance. Asamushi tea is aromatic, maintains the sweetness aroma and taste. Asamushi method is often associated with the finest Green tea and not all green teas are suitable for light steaming process.
