According macrobiotics founder George Ohsawa, Sannen Bancha (kukicha) is a yang, warming drink and the most alkalinizing Japanese tea, considered it to be the most balanced beverage. It has a smooth, sweet, roasted soothing taste and very low in caffeine and gentle in your stomach.
Brewing Tips | Sannen Bancha can be prepared in two ways; 1) A big teapot with boiling water (100°C) 2-3 g tea leaves/cup and steep for 3-5 min 2) Traditional way; stove top in a kettle or pan; bring the water in a pan to a boil (100°C), add tea leaves (10 - 20g / liter) and simmer the leaves for 3 - 5 minutes, strain the leaves and enjoy! You can rehear Sannen bancha or just drink it at room temperature throughout the day. |
