SAKURACHA(Flavor tea) - green tea stem and cherry stem tea |
Chado Sakuracha means that kukicha(stem tea) blend with cherry leaves. These dry leaves are a colour mixture of white green branches and rich green tea leaves- the sight is instantly captivating. The scent is alluringly fruity and floral with back notes that hint at an earthy base. It smells more like a floral herb tea as the typical green tea notes are lost in the plume of odour. The scent of the dry leaf alone urges you to go for a spring stroll.
The first infusion has a full chalky mouthfeel. It carries a floral taste which soon smoothens out on the breath. The floral taste becomes more refined as it stays in the mouth. The aftertaste is tangy green tea. The second infusion is full of cloudy, floral notes that float above more typical lime green tea taste. The result in the mouth is something that lacks the strong astringency of green tea cloaked by cherry blossom flavours. The feel in the mouth remains full and round despite the addition of the cherry tree branches. The aftertaste is long, floral, and tasty. |
